Mens dress clothing is, of course, functional, but, it also is part of the overall impression you make on people. Here's a question we rarely ask ourselves, who am I dressing for, and why?
Conventional wisdom is "dress to impress," however, in these changing times, consider turning that adage on its head -- instead of dressing to impress others, why not dress to impress yourself?
Think about it, isn't it your confidence and self-esteem you most want to come through in that first impression? In my opinion, it should be -- people want most to connect with who you are, not what you want them to think you are.
There is risk in structuring your mens dress clothing wardrobe to suit yourself, (appropriate for your environment, of course), because now you're making an individual expression instead of being guided by some cultural norm or expectation. Face it, it's likely not everybody will connect with the authentic you, but, is that so bad? Searching out and attracting harmonious relationships is a smaller set of contacts, but, that path also carries with it a higher probability for mutually beneficial, and mutually enjoyable, interactions.
So, as fall approaches, look at your wardrobe and ask yourself, for each piece, does this serve me well? Does it make me feel comfortable, happy and confident about me? It's a good start to moving your life forward, opening up to possibilities that you may not be focused on, but which are a natural progression for who you are becoming.
Your mens dress clothing choices may seem trivial in the scheme of life, but building a much better-defined, confident, and greater sense of your self can only help lead you in the right direction, and attract better relationships and better circumstances into your life.
